Aspira University College Career Day is a major annual event where top businesses send representatives to recruit Aspira students from the exact areas of their study. The most recent Career Day saw over 60 employers from across Croatia.
Career Day is a great opportunity for students to arrange professional internships with employers. This means a great deal to students because their school requirement is thus met with some of the most successful companies in their chosen fields. Professional internships are a mainstay of education at Aspira, as the focus is on specific knowledge obtained through hands-own work. The employers have for their part recognized the value of this approach and show their appreciation.
This successful bonding of students and employers through the facilitation of an exchange of skills and labor is a source of great pride to us. A great many students arrange summer jobs every year, while for some this can lead to offers of permanent employment immediately after graduation. Employers are quick to point out that Career Day at Aspira is an early scouting report into the availability of quality staff in the years to come. To give a few examples, Travel Management students have thus been hired by institutions such as the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik, Kempinski, Radisson Blu, Le Meridien Lav, Falkensteiner, Park and other high-end names. Sports management students do their internships at sports clubs and sporting organizations such as Hajduk Split soccer club or FC Split Tommy futsal club. Gastronomy students get a chance to work at some of the finest restaurants: Zrno soli, Pelegrini, Zinfandel, Uje Oil Bar, O’zlata, Braceria, Nautika and many others.
With the new Computer Engineering degre program under way, deals on internships have been reached, as well as collaborations such as visiting lectures and expert workshops throughout the year with companies like Ericsson, Manas, Span, Analyticom, HR Cloud, Profico and a number of other prestigious IT employers.
